Using Tether Studio
Your first flow
Start from a template, fill in its blanks, run it on a phone and read the results.
A flow is a list of steps your phone follows: open an app, tap, type, swipe, wait for some text, grab data from the screen. You see them as clips on a tape, coloured by type.
Start from a template
- Open Flows → New flow, or browse Templates.
- Pick a template. The preview shows exactly what it does, which apps it needs (signed in), and what it keeps.
- Fill in its blanks (for example a search term), then open it on the tape.
Run it
Choose a phone and run the flow. You can watch the phone live while the take log fills in step by step. Each step keeps a screenshot and the text that was on screen, so you can see what happened.
If something on the phone needs a person (a permission prompt, a login, a captcha), the run pauses with Needs you instead of guessing. Open the phone, sort it out, and try the step again, skip it, or stop the run.
Change it
Click a step to change it in the inspector. Common steps:
- Open app, Tap, Tap on text, Swipe, Type, Press key, Wait, Wait for text.
- Check: stop the run if some text isn't (or is) on screen.
- Take screenshot.
- Grab data: click elements on a screenshot to make columns, and repeat for every matching card. Rows go to a sheet.
- Ask AI: describe a goal and the model drives the phone until it's done, using your own AI key or Claude login (Settings → AI).
- Approval: pause until a person approves. Templates that post or send messages end with one.
Read the results
Open Runs to see every run with its screenshots, log and the rows it grabbed. Rows also collect in Sheets.
Next: run it on its own with Schedules.
